Ziming Studio: Creating Cuteness From Clay
Ziming Studio crafts adorable animal ornaments from yixing clay, also known as purple sand clay. Their artisans skillfully shape each piece by hand, ensuring that no two ornaments are exactly alike. The uniqueness of every creation is further enhanced through a slip decoration technique, which allows for a stunning variety of patterns. Fired at a high temperature of 1185°C, their ornaments capture the essence of traditional artistry with a contemporary twist.

Purple clay is a culturally significant material in China, known for its versatility and distinctive properties. This clay, positioned between stoneware and porcelain, is sorted by local artisans into five vibrant colors: red, yellow, green, black, and white. Ziming Studio harnesses these colors to design lively and detailed animal ornaments, each representing the diversity and charm of the natural world.

As a team of dedicated animal lovers, they bring their passion into their work. Each member owns pets, with many having cats, dogs, or other animals, reflecting their genuine affection for animals. This love serves as a true inspiration behind every piece they create.
